Ms. Shontel

Ms. Shontel is the owner of Small Wonders Daycare with over 30 years' experience in childcare!  Starting off as a 1st grade teacher assistant with the Providence School Dept is when I realized children carried a special place in my heart.  I remember as a child watching my favorite TV showed called Small Wonders.  I told myself when I grow up, I'm going to have a daycare center and call it Small Wonders Daycare.

In 1999, I had two children and wanted to be home when they came home from school.  This is when Small Wonders Daycare started in my home.  After 13 years of working from home I needed a change!  It wasn't a center, but it was a start.

I decided on complete career change and went to the corporate side of things. SMH! While working in the CVS HR department since 2013, an opportunity fell into my lap.  In 2021, Small Wonders Daycare Center opened!   I was happy to realize the dream I had all those years ago was coming to fruition and I was going to do what I love to do.
